The Humber is a centre of excellence for the oil and gas industries.

Humber Marine and Renewables’ members have a wealth of experience in serving the exploration, installation, maintenance and decommissioning of oil and gas projects.

From the docks and ports to the rigs and platforms, to the seabed and the wellhead, and through the pipelines to storage, there is assistance available for most aspects of an oil and gas project’s entire life cycle.

This includes global survey work around the world, rig movements, rig or pipeline inspection and maintenance.

The estuary’s ports are strategically placed between the UK’s two main hydrocarbon exploration and development centres of Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth, with easy access to the North Sea fields, plus the closer, inshore fields.

Industry-specific expertise is readily available as the Humber estuary is home to several onshore petrochemical facilities including the Phillips66 and Prax Lindsey oil refineries, and various petrochemical works and oil and gas-fired power stations.
