MMS names new vessel the ‘Supreme’
On Friday the 22nd of February MMS held a naming ceremony at their shipyard for the newly acquired windfarm support vessel the ‘MMS Supreme’.
Guests were given an insight into our two combined companies – MMS Ship Repair & Dry Dock & MMS Offshore Renewable Services by way of guided tour around the shipyard by the companies Managing Director – Rob Langton prior to the naming of the vessel.
The naming of the vessel was carried out by Angela Curtis, Rob’s partner, who in March 2018 was unexpectedly diagnosed with a brain tumour which unfortunately required further surgery in February to remove more of the tumour. Angela has astounded everyone with her will and determination to battle through these hard times. The staff and surgeons at Hull Royal and Castle Hill hospitals have been nothing short of remarkable, they are a testament to total professionalism. In recognition of this Rob invited Angela’s surgeon to the naming ceremony and had pleasure in presenting a cheque to the neurology ward.
