Ailes Marines awards SMC (Specialist Marine Consultants) a contract to provide Vessel Inspection services on St. Brieuc Offshore Wind Farm
Ailes Marines have awarded SMC (Specialist Marine Consultants) a contract to provide Vessel Inspection services to support construction of the St-Brieuc offshore windfarm in France.
SMC will be providing local up to 3 French AVIs (Accredited Vessel Inspectors) to the project, improving local experience and aligning to both SMC and Ailes Marines commitments to developing local content and skill sets within the region. SMC’s French AVI’s will be supported by the company’s comprehensive back-office support structure, experienced marine consultants and additional AVI’s.
For reference, Ailes Marines is developing the windfarm in Brittany region, off the northwest coast of France, in the Baie de St-Brieuc. The windfarm will consist of 62 WTGs and 1 x OSS, with a total capacity of 496MW and will provide energy for 835 000 persons Ailes Marines is 100% owned by Iberdrola.
