Advanced Global Energy Opens Office in Hull
OFFSHORE WIND WEEK HIGHLIGHTS GROWTH IN NORTH EAST AS ADVANCED GLOBAL ENERGY OPENS OFFICE IN HULL
Advanced Global Energy has opened an office in Hull as Offshore Wind Week highlights the growth in the region. The week, which ran nationally from 31st October to 4th November, illustrated the impacts and developments of offshore wind energy in the UK. It looked at various regions around the country, focusing on the major advancements in the sector.
The North East remains one of the largest providers of offshore wind energy to the UK with a capacity to supply energy to 3.3 million homes. With a further £18bn to be invested in the industry in the next five years, Advanced Global Energy has identified the North East as a key region for growth and as a result has opened an office in Hull.

As members of the THMA the company has worked closely the organisation to bring its national service with a regional function. The North East in particular has become a hive of activity for renewable energy.
It is home to a number of dedicated skills and training facilities including a centre for renewable energy in Northumberland. It was also the first region to construct an offshore wind farm and now has two operational farms with plans for three more given consent, one in Blyth and two in Dogger Bank.
Speaking about the opening of the new office Advanced Global Energy Managing Director Ben Leigh said, “We cover nationally and internationally but it is important that we give a regional focus to an integral area in the UK. Having an office in Hull allows us to build and maintain relationships with many of the renewable energy focused companies in the North East.”
Advanced Global Energy has signed a number of agreements with leading manufacturers and maintenance support service companies. As a result, it is experiencing an increase in wind energy roles and Ben’s team is placing a record number of Turbine and Blade Technicians.
He said, “The opening of the office in Hull and the signing of new agreements has led to Advanced Global Energy filling more wind energy roles. We’re seeing an increase in Blade and Turbine Technicians nationally as well as in the North East.”
